I took so many notes for this consultation.

My main problem is that there’s so much information that I keep going back to my notebook to reference and recall it. I was more comfortable once I got to WordPress. Since we’ve been working in WordPress, it’s more familiar and therefore easier to explain. I feel like WordPress is simpler and more straightforward than DoOO. Still, there are points in WordPress where I struggled more. Once I got to the customization of the pages and posts, I was getting more confused and stumbled over myself more.

I think the part that puzzled me the most was the sign-up. Since it’s a mock consultation, it feels strange to have the consultee read everything before signing up. When I had my consultation, they just had me read everything and let me ask questions. I struggle to picture how this would be with an actual person, especially someone who has already read it. I’m not yet sure how I plan to approach that. Additionally, going over the actual sign-up is going to be odd. I was unable to open the actual sign-up page where you make an account cause it kept redirecting me to my own DoOO account. I don’t know how to stop it from logging me in automatically. When the mock consultation happens, I’ll have to wing that part.

I would really like to improve my fluidity when consulting. It feels awkward despite my practice, and I have a feeling I’ll get nervous and blank during the consultation. But I know that this is something that can only improve with practice.

I’m nervous but excited to actually “start” consulting. I’m eager to consult with someone other than the wall.
